Life in transition

About me

My name is Anya Kaldek and I am an artist, author and designer. I was born in Germany in 1968 and grew up abroad until I was seven years old.

My childhood

My youth

A difficult phase followed in my home country, characterised by assaults, domestic violence and the pressure to force myself into a social norm. Extreme situations sharpened my perception of reality and strengthened my irrepressible urge for self-determination and freedom.

My philosophy of life

For over thirty years, I have been intensively involved with the big questions of life. I question dogmas and look behind the scenes of illusion. It is clear to me that there is more to life than what we can perceive with our five senses. The veil to the subtle world has always been thinner for me than for many of my fellow human beings.
To find the right path in life, I trust my inner voice. I believe that everyone has the ability to use their intuition as a compass to lead a happy and fulfilling life.

My work

Even at a young age, I was fascinated by fabrics and colours. At the age of 20, I realised my passion by setting up my own tailoring business. With the advent of the internet, I ventured into the design industry, founding and managing an advertising and internet agency. At the same time, I trained in art.
But the confinement and restrictions in Germany didn't allow me to develop my free spirit enough. I longed for more freedom and self-determination.

My life in Spain

Since 2013, I have been living with my long-time soul mate Peter as an artist, author and designer in a small coastal town in Spain. We have been shaped by many moves, have learnt to let go and make do with little. We are still driven by the desire for freedom and self-determination.

The crisis since 2020

The crisis from March 2020 hit us hard and almost destroyed our joint business and our dream of a self-determined life. But instead of giving up, we invested even more energy. Every day we wake up with the clear goal of contributing our talents and gifts to projects for a free and peaceful world without borders.

My target

I want to inspire and delight people with my work. I want to show them that anything is possible if you are aware of your own strengths and potential. I want to encourage them to pursue their dreams and work for a better world.
